Congressman Chris Murphy has another opponent. Harold Burbank II has announced his intention to run for the fifth district seat. You can read the article here from the News-Times.
Burbank said the reason he has decided to run is because of lies and abuse of the constitution by the Bush administration. He says Murphy should call for the impeachment of President Bush. If Murphy does, Burbank said he will not run. However, Murphy has mentioned that he has no intention of supporting impeachment.
According to Burbank, the Green Party has approached him to run on their ticket, however he hasn't made a decision. Republican State Senator David Cappiello is also running for Congress. Cappiello, who announced back in April, is expected to be the only Republican candidate running.
I'm not sure how much can be taken from this announcement, however I believe that Burbank could hurt Murphy a little. This could get interesting.

If Murphy beat Johnson during an off-year election, what makes you think the Republicans have a chance in 08 to pick up anything?
Why would any Democrat jump ship to the Green Party when the Dems have a chance to gain back the White House and pick up seats in the senate and house?

My analysis is very logical. Burbank is very anti-Bush and though Murphy is no fan of him either, he has not called for impeachment. Burbank has, for that reason he has a good chance at picking up the really hardcore liberal Democrats. His positions will be very far to the left, which could pull a few votes away from Murphy. The number probably won't be that big, but there is a lot of time left.
Murphy is a dirtbag and has proved that fact by hawking a big juicy loogie innthe face of all of us. I'm done with voting for Democrats and feel guilty for voting for that liar.

One of them promoted the other by putting a HUGE picture on a website. I can't remember which one of the two is running a web blog, but one of them actually takes pic's of the campaign signs, and posts them online. My 16 year old joked about trashing the signs, and he said the basketball players inn his science class were planning a trip to get them all - similar to that Showtime episode Weeds.
