Super Tuesday II Results

Clinton Makes Comeback
McCain Clinches Nomination

Yesterday was a big day for Hillary Clinton. She won Rhode Island, and the very critical states of Ohio and Texas. Barack Obama won Vermont, which he was expected to carry. Here are the Democratic results:

Ohio
Clinton: 54%
Obama: 44%
Texas
Clinton: 51%
Obama: 48%
Rhode Island
Clinton: 58%
Obama: 40%
Vermont
Obama: 59%
Clinton: 39%
On the Republican side John McCain clinched the nomination by gaining the 1,191 delegates needed to be the nominee. He won 60% of the vote in Ohio, 51% in Texas, 65% in Rhode Island, and 72% in Vermont. Mike Huckabee officially withdrew and threw his support behind McCain.

McCain is waiting to see who his opponent will be. Obama still leads Clinton by over 100 delegates. However, momentum is on her side. The next very big contest isn't until April 22nd in Pennsylvania, about seven weeks away. This is going to be intense and very fun to watch.
