Your Thoughts

It's been sort of a quiet couple of days. Beside watching the race for President evolve, it's been more low key. So I decided to put up a post where you can comment about anything.

Such as the race for President (Michigan Primary is tomorrow). The race for Congress. ICE in Danbury. Certain people's endorsements for President (Dodd remains quiet). What you think will be accomplished in the upcoming General Assembly and Congressional sessions. Local races (such as State Rep. and State Senate seats) we will see in November.

It's all up to you.

State Senate- Looks like its anyones game now since McLaughlin isn't a well-known guy.
2- Bartlett should be safe if he runs again instead of the 24th State sen.
109- Taborsak should be safe esp. if the challenger is Seabury again.
110- Godfrey is safe as always
138- Ditto with Gieglier

Chris Murphy will cruise in a president-focused year.

Whoever the democratic nominee is will win our state and if rudy is the rep. nom. it will be closer than usual

1- State Senate- I think McLaughlin will probably have an edge because while hes not a well known guy, he knows every mover and shaker in the area and in the state. Hes a very knowledgeable person and will probably make a bigger splash then the Dems are expecting.

2- Barlett will probably be safe
3- Same with Taborsak, hes done a good job at making a point to be at a lot of city meetings. I don’t see another Seabury run, although he probably would have been the better choice.
4- Godfrey hasn’t done anything since being elected way to long ago, he will win again unfortunately.
5- Gieglier will with again, she’s always had a strong hold.
6- Murphy’s seat isn’t as safe many might think especially with the presidential year. Litchfield County actually web Red in the last years election and Fairfield county wasn’t that far off. Sen. Cap has worked very hard for the state and his constituents. I think he will give Murphy a strong run.

I would like to see more focus on local politics, thats why I've always gone to this site. Actual facts, good stories, and level headed usually non-biased opinions. Keep it up. Stay to your roots!
